    • On January 17, 2024, CMS announced the final rule on Electronic Prior Authorization and Payer Interoperability APIs. With the new rule, CMS hopes to expand access to health information and improve the prior authorization process and modernize the health care system and reduce patient and provider burden by streamlining the prior authorization process.
